Working Within Schools
The DPS team will transform any classroom or assembly hall into a recording studio by using top of the range, professional equipment. This offers the opportunity to record any number of songs performed by the children; a talented school band, school play, orchestra, choir or assembly. Once recorded, the team will take the audio away to be mixed and mastered in our dedicated mixing suite and create a professional CD for your school to sell or receive donations from parents, guardians, friends and family.
This project offers a great opportunity to create the perfect memento for a school musical, concert, or any other seasonal event providing a whole new enjoyable, rewarding experience for all involved.
The project provides the students with creative opportunities throughout, from singing and playing the instruments right through to designing their very own CD inserts therefore giving them a thoroughly enjoyable experience whilst learning communication skills. A recording session can turn even the most timid of pupils into a star, giving them the ultimate confidence boost. You never know, you could have the next Leona Lewis or Westlife at your school.

"I invited Chris and Ben from DPS to come into school to produce a professional Easter CD for parents of the school. They came into school on the arranged day and the children had an absolutely fantastic time recording their selected tracks, which included a whole range of instruments, solo/group singing and a full school choir. The team from DPS set up the school hall as if it was a professional studio and the equipment they used gave the children a very real and exciting experience. The team were extremely positive, encouraging and patient with the children, even after doing several takes, and the day is something which the children and parents still mention and refer to more than 6 months later. The DPS team took the raw tracks away with them and within a day they had edited and finalised the tracks into a very professional sounding CD. We made this available to our parents who absolutely loved it and some even bought multiple copies for friends and families! This gave our children the chance to experience what it is like in a professional recording studio, mimicking some of their heroes from the world of music and entertainment, and the confidence that many of them gained from the day has been very noticeable in school. As a musician myself, who didn’t manage to do a professional recording of this type until well into my adult life, this experience is something that I am sure will inspire our young musicians to go on to much bigger and greater things, and the team from DPS will be most welcome into our school in the future. This is something we have already booked to repeat and I am sure will become a regular event on our school calendar. I’m sure the children and parents wouldn’t let me do anything but!
